High levels of specific IgE are associated with allergies. This self-test only requires a small amount of capillary blood easily obtained with a lancet included in the kit. With a quick and easy prick of a finger, you will receive results in just a few minutes. Quicktest Cat, Dust Mites, & Grass Pollen self-test has shown good comparison results against laboratory tests. However, this self-test should not be used for diagnosis but should be used for a preliminary indication. A licensed physician should always make the diagnosis.
This self-test has no age limit, but it is not suitable for children under 3 years old. The self-test can also be used if you are taking medication, and you do not need to have an ongoing allergic reaction for the test to be reliable.
The test results are presented separately, one for each allergen. If you are allergic to, for example, grass pollen and dust mites, lines will appear on their respective spots on the test cassette. See the manual for more detailed information.
