Quicktest Prostate test detects elevated levels of PSA (prostate-specific antigen). The test gives a positive result if the PSA level is 4 ng/mL or higher.
Elevated levels of PSA may indicate different diseases such as prostatitis or prostate cancer. When a man reaches about 50 years of age, a prostate PSA test should be performed at least once a year. If a possible disease is detected in time, the chances of recovery increase significantly.

Do you urinate frequently? Maybe you have an unusually weak stream? There can be many different reasons for this, but detecting an elevated PSA value early on gives you a great chance of getting the right care at the right time. Our test gives you results within 5 minutes.
If you have any kind of change or disease in the prostate, the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood increases. This PSA level can easily be measured at home with our prostate test. With the Quicktest self-test for PSA/prostate, you get immediate results on whether your PSA level is normal or elevated. The test is easily done with a finger stick. Our prostate test indicates a positive result when the PSA level is 4 ng/mL or higher. An elevated PSA level should be investigated to determine whether the cause is prostate cancer or benign prostate disease. Our prostate test is very safe and has been used in healthcare for about 10 years. It is CE-marked and, with regular use, gives you the opportunity to detect any changes in the prostate in good time.
Every day, 25-30 men in Sweden are diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is the most common form of cancer and usually affects men aged 45 and older. The prognosis for prostate cancer varies and depends partly on the patient's age and partly on how far the disease has spread. Therefore, the chance of survival increases if the cancer is detected as early as possible. This easy-to-use home test for the prostate can be performed regularly once a year and provides good opportunities to detect any changes or cancer in the prostate early on. Benign prostate problems may not be life-threatening, but the symptoms can reduce the quality of life. In addition, there is a risk that a malignant prostate enlargement exists alongside a benign one.
Note that elevated levels do not necessarily mean that you are seriously ill; it may be due to a variety of conditions. Therefore, it is important to consult a doctor if you get a positive result. If you have symptoms, it is recommended to see a doctor regardless of the test result.

Our PSA test is performed at home through a simple and painless finger stick. The test indicates elevated levels of PSA (prostate-specific antigen). The PSA test is for those who want to test their prostate and check their PSA levels, which indicates the risk of prostate disease.
The Quicktest Prostate/PSA test can be used at any time of day. In some diseases and treatments, it is recommended to wait a certain amount of time to avoid incorrect test results. Below are our recommendations:
No. In fact, many prostate diseases can cause elevated PSA levels, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), inflammatory and infectious prostate diseases (such as prostatitis). We always recommend seeing a doctor with a positive result.
The result is correct if the instructions are followed carefully. However, the result can be incorrect if the test becomes wet before the test is performed, or if the amount of blood placed in the test cassette is incorrect. The pipette provided ensures that the blood volume is correct.
You should contact a doctor and explain that you have performed a Quicktest Prostate PSA self-test and that the result was positive.
You are most likely free from disease. If you suspect illness or have symptoms, you should always consult a doctor for further investigation.
A PSA test measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen in the blood. Healthy men have low levels of PSA in the blood, but the amount of PSA in the blood typically increases as the prostate enlarges with age.
PSA levels increase in prostate cancer, but can also increase in inflammation of the prostate gland. There are also other factors that can temporarily raise your PSA levels. Finding and treating prostate cancer early is important because it significantly improves the prognosis.
Today, the National Board of Health and Welfare in Sweden does not recommend general PSA screening because elevated PSA levels can have causes other than cancer, which can create unnecessary worry, over-diagnosis, and over-treatment. Many men with elevated PSA levels may need follow-up even though they do not have prostate cancer, and in some cases, they are diagnosed with cancer and undergo treatment with side effects unnecessarily.
New precise tests as an alternative to PSA are under development and could in the future reduce the number of false alarms and unnecessary biopsies, but today PSA is available.
Personally, I think that PSA tests have great value in detecting prostate cancer early and should be encouraged, especially in men between 50 and 75 years of age and for those who have prostate cancer in their families. At the same time, it is important to remember and inform that an elevated PSA level can have causes other than cancer that must be ruled out.
