Now you can examine your sperm production with the help of a home test. Quicktest sperm test is a fertility test for men that makes it possible to determine whether a man's sperm production is normal or reduced after just a few minutes. The test is carried out at home in peace, completely private, of course. Sperm is added to a special liquid, then the mixture is dropped into a test cassette and after a few minutes, the result can be read. This self-test gives a positive result (you have normal levels) when the sperm concentration is over 15 million/ml in the sperm. This level is internationally accepted as the lowest level of sperm for normal fertility. A low sperm concentration could indicate difficulties in fertilization. It is then recommended that you contact your doctor who can advise on what can be done to improve sperm concentration. The sperm sample has a reliability of more than 97% in a positive result.
The clinical definition of infertility is based on a couple's inability to achieve fertilization after 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse. Up to 15% of couples experience infertility and within this group, about 40-50% of infertility is caused by problems with the sperm. Sperm concentration is one of the primary factors used by doctors to diagnose male infertility. There may be several reasons for male infertility and the inability to fertilize the female egg. A common cause is abnormally low production of viable sperm. Medical or physical conditions can also disrupt normal sperm production, including high stress, high fever or illness experienced within two months before testing, and sudden changes in diet. Taking this first screening test can indicate if there is a low amount of sperm production.
With Quicktest Sperm Test, the quality of the semen is assessed based on whether it is above the WHO-established limit of 15 million sperm cells per millilitre of semen. If the man's semen quality is above the limit, the test gives a positive result. If the semen quality is below that level, the test shows a negative result.
Most people are simply curious. By testing, you will get a clear answer.
Yes, you are completely anonymous, and this applies to all of our self-tests.
The concentration of viable and active sperm is one of the primary factors that doctors examine closely to understand and possibly diagnose male infertility.
There may be several reasons why a man is infertile and therefore unable or having difficulty fertilizing the female egg. This self-test provides an indication of whether the number of active sperm is normal or below normal.
