Lactate test at home

Lactic acid, and lactate. You have probably felt it when running, playing floorball, or cycling. The muscles "give up" and despite the brain and your will saying "continue," the muscles no longer obey. Your muscles now have an increased level of lactic acid, and your legs or arms have a will of their own.

Lactic acid, or lactate, which is the medically correct term, is a waste product produced when your muscles work harder than your lungs can oxygenate them. Many who exercise and have an interest in wellness would like to measure their levels of lactic acid, which is now possible with the Quicktest X6 multifunctional meter, which can, among other things, test your levels of lactic acid. The measurement is performed through a simple blood stick, and then Quicktest X6 analyzes your levels, and you get the answer in just a few seconds. Of course, your results are stored so you can track your progress.

The package includes 5 lactate strips, a code chip for lactate, a manual, and 6 lancets (an extra one). Please note that you need the Multitest-x6 for the use of these test strips.

So how does it work?

Simply; by quickly pricking your finger, a drop of blood is used, and then Quicktest X6, which is the measuring instrument itself, is used. What is the code chip used for? At 2 times:

1. Before testing, it is simply to "explain" to the X6 multi-tester that it should measure just lactate. You only do this once if you are only testing for ketones.
2. If you want to test another parameter such as cholesterol, this test's unique code chip must first be used so that the X6 receives information that you are testing another parameter. The code chip can be reused.
