What is analysed?
Cod f3
Cod is a common cause of fish allergy. Symptoms can occur when eating it or through exposure to steam during cooking.
Shrimp f24
Shrimp is a crustacean and the most common cause of shellfish allergy in adults.
Salmon f41
Salmon is one of the most common fish in the Swedish diet and is analysed separately from cod.
What does sensitisation mean?
Detectable specific IgE indicates sensitisation, but does not automatically mean that exposure causes clinical allergy symptoms. The result must always be considered alongside symptoms and actual exposure.
